I developed a software that allows users to create their own ROMS.

//About Rom WorkShop
Its too hard for some users create their own roms, because a beginner do not know where to start for rom development.
This tool (Rom WorkShop) gives you the possibility to create your rom with simple steps. I designed it like XTheme Tools UI (Wizard-Like UI)
so you can skip steps with only click.

Zip package contains a BASE(from Stock) rom. But do not worry, it is very simple to port new BASE's for WorkShop. Next week I will publish
a user-manual / a video tutorial for using Rom WorkShop and port new BASE for Rom WorkShop.

Hello Everyone!!
After almost chilling out for a year on XDA, this is my first contribution :)
I've tried out many ROMS for our beloved devices, but couldn't stay on a single ROM for more than 3-4 days....
Then I thought, why shouldn't I make my own ROM according to my taste and have full liberty of customizing it....
SO after a week or two of reading through guides and checking videos, here it is!! My first ROM based on Gingerbread
(imo our devices were meant to run on GB :angel: )

I've been using this Rom for over a month now without any problems, so i decided to share it with the community...hope you like it!! :cool:

Installation Instructions [ Unlocked Bootloader ]

1. Download the rom and put them in SD Card
2. Flash kernel (night elf v10.1 lite) inside zip using fastboot
3. Boot into recovery
4. Wipe Data/factory reset
5. Go to advanced-Wipe Dalvik Cache
6. Go to Mounts and Storage-Format /System
7. Flash the rom and patch(if applicable)
8. Reboot
9. Wait for at least 15mins to let ROM settle down
10. Reboot again and Enjoy :D :good:

For some start with a new project for the neo V because I do not want moved at the name "Jelly Blur" to CM10.1.

Installation

For Locked Bootloader:
1.Flash firmware 4.0.2.A.0.58 via Flashtool
2.Root the firmware via Flashtool
3.Install CWM Recovery
4.Reboot phone and press [volume + or - ] until the notification LED turns Blue.
5.Instal BRABUS NXT for NeoV.zip from sdcard.

For Unlocked Bootloader:
1.Flash your favorite kernel.[Night-Elf recommended]
2.Enter Recovery, format System,Data,Cache,Dalvik Cache.
3.Instal BRABUS NXT for NeoV.zip from sdcard.

EXTEND YOUR BATTERY LIFE

REQUIREMENTS
Most importantly your phone
init.d support (startup scripts during the boot)
file editor like root explorer
root access, busybox (rooted phone)

what's in init.d scripts?

4.1 cpufreq_governor
21cpufreq_governor script sets the governor that contorls the CPU's thresholds and sampling_rates
4.2 cpufreq_screenstate_scaling
31cpufreq_screenstate_scaling script defines the governor values and decides the actions based on the phone's state - conservative, ondeman, lazy, awake, sleep modes. I've changed lots of values from Calk's original script to save more battery power thru this script. As indicated in Calk's original thread for FD02, this script would not run if you have already installed some CPU control apps something like OC Widget, Quick Clock, SETCPU, and Android OC.

4.3 tweaks_GAURAV
41tweaks_kobridge script has almost everything in it to improve the network speed, sdcard tweaks, other battery saving tweaks, VM management, Kernel, wifi tweaks, etc. For some of the values in here, there are some overlaps with build.prop tweaks. So, if you do not apply the tweaks to the build.prop file, many tweaks would still work.

4.4 zipalign
zipalign is an archive alignment tool introduced first time with 1.6 Android SDK (software development kit). It optimizes the way an Android application package (APK) is packaged. Doing so enables the Android operating system to interact with the application more efficiently, and hence has the potential to make the application and overall the whole system much faster. Execution time is minimized for zipaligned applications, resulting is lesser amount of RAM consumption when running the APK.

If less number of applications with an unaligned home application, you’d see slower application launch times. This is the best case scenario. For a worst case scenario, having a number of unaligned applications will result in the system repeatedly starting and killing processes, struggling with lags and huge battery drain.

4.5 Wifi Sleep Wait timer
What this tweak does is, it controls the time until wifi sleeps after the screen turned off. By default, it's 15 minutes. So, even you turned off the screen, by default, phone will wait for 15 minutes and then turn off the wifi. By using this tweak, you will have the control over wifi idle time until wifi sleeps.

Installation

1.Flash kernel provided in ROM zip.
2.Copy ROM and GAPPS to SD CARD.
3.Boot into CWM.
4.Wipe cache, dalvik cache and data.
5.Format /system and /data.
6.Flash ROM.
7.Flash GAPPS.
8.Reboot into system.
9.Let the ROM settle for around 20 min and Reboot again. Done!

The first street of entering into the way of rooting is to unlock bootloader of your phone for which you have to check that if it is possible to unlock the bootloader of your xperia device

After that abide the given procedure-
Dial *#*#7378423#*#* in your phone dialer pad
Select Service info >> Configuration >> Rooting Status.
If bootloader unlock allowed says Yes,
then you can continue :)

Now open this link
http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/instructions



Then scroll down and click on continue



Click on yes, I am sure :)



Now tick all the boxes and click on I accept button



After this fill your details :)
For Your IMEI Number Dial:*#06#
And submit it



At this step the unlock key is sent to your email which you have provided in your detail
so check your email for the key and copy it somewhere as you will need it later

Now download this zip file and extract it anywhere in your pc/laptop

Switch off your xperia device
Hold the menu button and connect the usb cable to your pc/laptop
You will see blue light instead of red ,green etc

Blue light means your phone is in fastboot mode.

Now open the folder which you have extracted before from the download zip file



And hold shift button on your pc/laptop and right click anywhere in the folder



and select open command window here….



You will see a command prompt



Type this in the command prompt

It will response back (for example: 0.1) it means phone is properly connected to the pc/laptop….



Now enter this line in the command prompt but before this we have to modify something in it

fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY

Instead of ‘KEY’ enter your unlock key which you have got from your email :)

And hit enter :)



Congratulations you have crossed the river of unlocking the bootloader and you have entered into the way of rooting :)

I hope that by following these steps you have unlocked the bootloader but for your further better understanding this video will help you out in making this enigmatic task a little easier.

Special Thanks to @RAMJISUN for being my tester for Neo V!

I came up with this idea when Senior Member "pedyvirus" started on trying to port R800x stock rom on R800i, that, as we know, it is an AOSP like rom, built from Google 2.3.3 sources. I decided to try porting it myself, but I failed (lol, there's so much to be modified in order to make it a fully working rom), so I thought "What about modifing the whole R800i stock to look like an AOSP rom?", and so I did it :D

The aim of this rom is to give users an AOSP-like experience, preserving the good performance of the stock firmware.
